Take time this Saturday (November 26) to support your local small businesses on Small Business Saturday.
People helping and supporting each other is what we are all about, and few do it better than the local small business owner who buys from the local farmer, sells to the local customer, and hires the local employee. These people are taking care of each other and supporting them is a privilege. In the spirit of the season, please visit and purchase something from your favorite small businesses this Saturday.
For more information on Small Business Saturday, please read this press release from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Ohio will receive $75 million in federal funding for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).
LIHEAP assists qualified families with their home energy needs such as heating in the winter, cooling their homes in the summer, and insulating their homes to make them more energy efficient and reduce their energy costs. The result of this funding lessens the chance of families having to choose between paying their energy bills and other necessities, such as food or medicine.
An application and eligibility information are available through the following link to the Ohio Department of Development.
